Tour Overview
The Do Dham Yatra takes in the two most visited shrines of the Char Dham: Kedarnath, the Himalayan abode of Lord Shiva at about 3,580 m, and Badrinath, the temple of Lord Vishnu on the Alaknanda at about 3,300 m. It suits pilgrims with less time, older travellers who would rather not attempt all four dhams, and anyone returning to complete the two shrines they missed.
You travel with your own private car and driver in Delhi: one car and one driver from the plains to the shrines and back, stopping wherever you need. The car stays with you through the mountain stretches where shared transport is slow and crowded. For all four shrines, see our 10 Nights 11 Days Char Dham Yatra, or compare every option on our Char Dham tour packages page.

Before You Go: Registration & Packing
Registration is mandatory. The Uttarakhand government requires every pilgrim to register before the yatra, online on the official Uttarakhand registration portal or at registration counters on the route. Register each traveller with their ID, carry the e-pass or slip, and do it as soon as your dates are fixed, because slots fill in peak season.
Pack for altitude and rain. Both shrines are above 3,000 m, and the weather turns quickly. Bring warm layers even in summer, a raincoat or umbrella, sturdy shoes for the trek, a refillable water bottle and your personal medicines. Travel light: hotel rooms and pony loads are small.
Plan the Kedarnath day carefully. The trek is the hardest part of the yatra. If anyone in your group has heart, breathing or knee problems, consider a pony, a palki or the helicopter, and speak to your doctor before you go.
